What To Do
  1. Start with the Introductory Learning Tasks. There, you will focus on your interests and potential career choices.

Introduction Save this Equine1 2070 Learning checklist in your portfolio. The Learning Checklist is set up so you can keep track of, and check off, each apprenticeship task as you complete it. Review the checklist to help you decide which inquiry topic you want to start with.

  2. Next, the Apprenticeship Learning Tasks will guide you through learning tasks that ask you to apply and demonstrate your understandings and skills.

  3. The Final Project will ask you to bring what you’ve learned together.
You will be assessed on the completion of your apprenticeship learning tasks and your choice of one final project.

You will:
  • Complete six Apply learning tasks and seven Demonstrate learning tasks. Apply learning tasks ask you to work with information. Demonstrate learning tasks focus on your horse care and handling skills. Completion of these learning tasks will help you with your final project.

  • Select and complete ONE of three final projects. Find a Project planning guide in
    Final Project.

  • Write a 200-word personal statement that should become part of your career portfolio. Your responses to reflection questions found in each inquiry topic will help you construct this statement.
