How should you safely train and ride your horse?

Humane horse training and riding skills ensure safety for horses and people. An understanding of riding equipment, natural and artificial training aids and appropriate riding skills and practices ensure that a horse’s welfare is protected. You will demonstrate techniques for fitting tack, using bits as well as hands, leg and voice to communicate with your horse. You will also demonstrate your understanding of a balanced seat and how to walk, trot and lope or canter your horse.
