In this module, we learned how to recognize signs of stress in horses and what causes it. We also considered the effect of stress on horse health and welfare. These effects can be behavioural as well as physical. Finally, we identified when to enlist the assistance of a licensed veterinarian and discussed the importance of including your veterinarian in developing a horse health plan.
