In this module, you have identified the various stages of your cat or dog’s natural lifecycle and how their needs will change with each stage. You should now be able to describe some of the key vital signs and indicators of both youth and old age-related development. As you might expect, any signs that are inappropriate to your cat or dog’s stage of development should raise concerns. They warrant further investigation as part of your ongoing efforts to safeguard the well-being of your cat or dog throughout their lifetime.
