The video and screenshot images below were created using a laptop / desktop computer – which is the recommended way to access this course.
Using a Mobile Device (e.g. iPad)
You can use a tablet (e.g. an iPad) but please note that the course menu will appear at the bottom of each page, not on the left as indicated in these instructions.
In order to access the PDF activities on a tablet, you will need to download a copy of Adobe Reader to your device. Adobe Reader is available for free from both the Apple App store and Google Play store using the links below.
Phones are NOT recommended for accessing the course materials.

The “Course Home” page is the starting point to your interaction with your CTS Animals course. The information below provides you with an overview of the key elements that you see on the Course Home page.
The Course Menu
The universal “Course Menu” is located on the left of every course page. It is a tool allowing you to navigate quickly to anywhere in the course. The information below provides you with an overview of the key elements of the Course Menu.
Modules & Topics
Module Pages
The “Module” page is the starting point to your interaction with that module. The information below provides you with an overview of the key elements unique to the Module page.
Topic Pages
“Topic” pages are located within Modules. Topics contain the content and activities of the course. The information below provides you with an overview of the important elements on a Topics page.
Activities
Required (Graded) activities require you to submit a completed copy of the activity’s required materials. Controls for submitting your materials appear at the bottom of the topic pages where the activities occur. The information below provides you with an overview of the important elements of the page area for Required (Graded) Activities.
Course Icons
Icons are used throughout the course as a quick reference to the type of information, content or activity. A summary of the course icons are provided below.
