Module Description
This module provides an overview of horse origins and the unique differences in breeds intended to serve a variety of purposes. You will also learn about horse anatomy and physical characteristics that will help you assess horse conformation. Physical attributes are important to consider as it influences a horse’s ability to perform certain activities and can affect their health and welfare. We will also investigate horse genetics to learn how genetic traits such as coat colour are inherited. Finally, you will be able to reflect on how genetics and physical features of a horse contribute to decisions for responsible care.
